• Wyoming Secretary of State, Business Center search. Search the filing ID 2026-002029919. The Parties panel is the place to read an organizer name if one was filed. This writeup uses the free OpenCorporates fields and the addresses Rift itself prints.
• Google Play, chat.rift.mobile. Developer: Rift Communications LLC. Contact block fetched 3 October 2026: [email protected], +1 917-268-6356, 30 N Gould St Pmb R, Sheridan, WY 82801-6317. Content rating: PEGI 18.
• Wyoming Tribune Eagle / Sheridan reporting on 30 N Gould St (April 2026 story, as indexed). Background on the address as a commercial registered-agent site. It is not an article about Rift. Using the address is not, by itself, evidence of a scam.

Replies from u/TheRiftChat on 22 and 24 July 2026: closed source, not self-hostable, team of three, AI assistance, APK now and Play "in a few weeks," no bots, accessibility labels written with AI help. u/Ok-Inspector1108's "wholey written with ai" comment and the aria.ai link are in this thread.
• r/DiscordAlternatives, "Community list of AI slop Discord alternatives," posted 30 August 2026 by u/Glittering-Roof7519. What this site did not do

• No account was created on Rift. No APK was installed. No client was decompiled. The encryption description is Rift's description.
• No one was identified behind the Play phone number or the Sheridan mailbox.
• Discord's current free-tier numbers were not re-measured. The June 2026 comparison is cited as Rift's comparison.
• The Copyright Office designated-agent directory was not confirmed for this LLC. The DMCA page Rift publishes is described as it appeared.
• A Wyoming Parties-panel screenshot was not captured. The filing ID is enough to pull that page yourself.
